1. Trim the slices of bread.
2. Make thick syrup with sugar and 1 cup water. Keep aside.
3. Boil milk until it thickens to 1/3 of quantity (1 lt in this case).
4. Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry bread slices till golden color. Drain and keep aside.
5. Put fried bread in a flat pan and pour syrup and make it boil.
6. When all syrup is absorbed pour milk and cook till misk is absorbed. Remove from fire.
7. Spread saffron and rose water and garnish with sliced almonds and pistachio.
Note 1: You can use condensed milk and mix with regular milk to speed up step 3. All you need to do is heat the mixture.
Note 2: For step 2 you can use store bought syrup if available.
